Mrs. Sybil C. Etuk is the Head of the Corporate Planning Group at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) – Nigeria’s Sovereign Wealth Fund. In this role, she serves as the central point for coordinating and facilitating strategy execution and ensuring group-wide alignment with the Authority’s long-term goals, both within the group and across NSIA portfolio companies. The Corporate Planning Group consists of three units namely; Strategy and Research, Subsidiary Management, and Investor Relations Units.
Prior to this, she served as the institution’s Head, Group Human Resources (HR) for nearly a decade. As Head, Group HR, she was instrumental in leading various pivotal and defining workforce strategies for the Authority.
Before joining the NSIA, she had a distinguished career at Access Bank Plc, a top 3 tier 1 Commercial Banking Group in Nigeria, that equipped her with best-in-class expertise, which she readily deploys across the various roles that she has held over the course of her career. While in Access Bank, she played a pivotal role in the International, green and brown fields, expansion programme in five zones (Europe, UEMOA, SADC, WAMZ, & EAC) and non-banking subsidiaries in Nigeria.
With 23 years’ experience straddling both the private (Consulting, Banking, Insurance) and public (Finance) sectors, she is a result-oriented and consummate professional who has delivered solutions in M&A, MBO, Organizational Development and Design, Change and Organizational Renewal, Treasury, and Human Resource (HR) Management amongst other functions.
Sybil holds a master’s degree in business administration from Cardiff Business School and a BA from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. She is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN). She is also a Certified Coach licensed by the Coach Training Alliance, USA.
