Dr Alim Abubakre is an academic, strategic management consultant, and thought leader who serves as an advisory board member of the London Business School Africa Club. His scholarly research focuses on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) responsibilities, spanning pivotal industries such as oil and gas, ethical finance, and manufacturing. His insights have been widely published in the media.

Dr Abubakre has been invited to present at leading global forums, including Oxford University, Cambridge, and LSE, as well as major conferences such as the British Academy of Management and the Academy of Management. He serves as an external doctoral examiner and, as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, has supervised countless postgraduate and undergraduate students.

His expertise in consultancy and executive education is demonstrated through the high-impact programmes he has led for over 4,000 senior executives globally, facilitated by the UK-based consultancy he founded, TEXEM. Additionally, he is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at Sheffield Business School and Non-Executive Chair of These Executive Minds. He won the Virgin Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. Before his foray into Entrepreneurship, He was Director of Strategy at a consulting firm at Cambridge.

Beyond academia and consulting, Dr. Abubakre has played a transformative role in large-scale public-private partnerships, including a £3 billion West African infrastructure project. He has also worked as a project professional managing World Bank projects focusing on Millennium Development Goals. He has collaborated with hundreds of organisations such as global firms such as Unilever, Microsoft, the UK government, Cadbury, McKinsey, Manchester United, Liverpool Football Club and Arsenal Football Club on strategic leadership initiativ
