Kunbi Adeoti is a highly experienced Strategic HR leader with a remarkable career spanning over 24 years. She has successfully transformed the human resources function for a diverse range of organizations, including startups and large conglomerates, across various industries in Sub-Saharan Africa. ’Kunbi has a proven track record of delivering enhanced capacity, growth, and transformation. Her strategic oversight has led to significant achievements such as group-wide restructuring to prioritize customer-centricity, establishing HR functions for multiple businesses within both large corporations and SMEs, and driving the People Agenda across industries to build workforce capabilities and ensure employee engagement and positive experiences. She has effectively managed large people budgets, implemented initiatives resulting in a higher employee engagement index, and successfully executed HR transitions for organizations. She has also led HR strategic execution for mergers and acquisitions, implemented innovative programs and digital initiatives to guarantee ROI and profitability, and fostered learning organizations focused on people capabilities. Currently, she serves as the Chief People Experience Officer at Leadway Group, where she is responsible for various entities, including Leadway Assurance, Leadway Hotels, Leadway Capital & Trusts, Leadway Asset Management, Leadway Properties, Leadway Vie, Leadway IARD, Anakara Services in Côte d’Ivoire, Leadway Health, and Leadway Pensions. Additionally, she oversees customer experience across all these entities, achieving incremental values of Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT) scores that is reflected in company revenues.
Prior to joining Leadway, Omokunbi held key positions in renowned organizations such as Standard Chartered Bank, Alcatel-Lucent, Airtel Networks, Zain Nigeria, Celtel Nigeria, and Vmobile, where she gained extensive expertise in HR, governance, customer service management and supported transaction banking and wealth management functions. Omokunbi is also a respected speaker on leadership and career development, recognized with numerous awards. In 2023, she won the award peak performing woman of the year . She actively participates in various professional and voluntary capacities, she has and continues to mentor upcoming generations across various spectrums. She volunteers her time at the Local Chapter of SHRM Lagos, She is a Licensed HR practitioner both at Local and global levels, serving in various executive capacities in these professional bodies and committees. She is also a member of HR Forbes Council as well as European Mentorship and Coaching Council.
She is independent executive director (INED) on a number of company boards, Management Board member of Pistis Life and Leadership Institute and a Non-Executive Director of the board of Leadway Health.
She is happily married to Kayode Adeoti and are blessed with 3 lovely daughters.
