Margaret Ifeoma Omovbude brings over 24 years of consulting and functional experience in Human Resources Management and Business Support Operations, with a particular emphasis on Performance Improvement. Her expertise runs the full HR value chain: organisation design, HR strategy, recruitment, training and competency development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement and retention, and succession planning.
She began her career at the international consulting giant PwC, where she spent eight years as a Senior HR Consultant delivering bespoke solutions to local, national and multinational organisations. She went on to serve as Associate Director, People and Operations at Nexus Alliance Limited, a midstream oil and gas firm, and is today the Group Head, People and Culture at Rainoil Limited, a leading downstream energy company where she leads the People, Office Services, and Branding functions, developing the workforce and embedding a stable, uniform culture across the group.
A graduate of Sociology and Psychology, Margaret also holds a Master’s degree in International Human Resources Management from the Rome Business School and is a Senior Certified Professional of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP), USA. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, a Certified Administrator of psychometric assessments, and a soft-skills and leadership trainer who has facilitated programmes both in Nigeria and internationally.
Popularly known as the Workplace Mentor, she is the founder of the Workplace Excellence Academy, an online resource centre providing career guidance to workplace professionals, and Convener of the Corporate Power Room, an annual gathering for corporate professionals who want to grow deliberately, navigate career transitions, and lead with greater impact.
