Ejiro Ogunbanjo is a commercially astute HR Executive and Board Advisor with over 15 years of experience spanning financial services, technology, telecommunications, consulting and professional services. As Chief Human Resources Officer at The Alternative Bank, she leads the enterprise people, culture and organisational effectiveness agenda, partnering with executive leadership to translate business strategy into workforce capability and organisational outcomes.
Her expertise sits at the intersection of People, Business and Technology, with a track record spanning organisational transformation, talent and leadership development, culture, workforce strategy, digital transformation and the future of work. Her leadership has contributed to award-winning people practices, including Great Place to Work Platinum recognition and multiple culture, diversity, employer excellence and wellbeing awards.
A 2026 Delegate to the International Labour Organization (ILO)’s 114th International Labour Conference in Geneva, Ejiro participated in the Committee on Standard Setting for Decent Work in the Platform Economy, whose work culminated in the adoption of ILO Convention No. 193, establishing international labour standards for platform work. She serves on the HRM Professional Advisory Group at Edinburgh Napier University Business School and has served as faculty at Lagos Business School’s HR Academy, alongside other local and global speaking engagements. She brings a distinctive intersection of HR practice, board and policy advisory, academia and research to the profession.
A Fellow of CIPM Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development UK, Ejiro is also a Chartered Banker and Professional Scrum Master. She is a WIMBOARD Fellow, Vice President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association’s SMP 92, and has been recognised among the Top 100 Career Women in Africa, alongside other local and international recognitions.
