Olumuyiwa Olulaja is currently the Group Head, Human Capital Management & Development (HCMD) of FirstBank Group. He joined FirstBank in 2012 from the Advisory Practice of KPMG Professional Services where he garnered practical hands-on knowledge in people management, negotiation and liaising with senior management across key industries.
Prior to his appointment as Group Head, Muyiwa led the Talent Management function of the Bank, with overall responsibility of managing employees’ life cycle in line with the Bank’s people agenda. He is a member of the Bank’s Employee Voluntary Scheme and a successful product of the maiden edition of the Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP).
Muyiwa is a thought leader and sought-after speaker on Talent Management and Career Development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Second Class Upper Division and an MBA in Business Management.
Muyiwa is also a trained KPMG Assessor, a certified job evaluator and DDI-certified trainer. He is happily married with children.
He is a graduate of the INSEAD Advanced Management Program (AMP-134), France, and Lagos Business School Senior Management Programme (SMP-57). He is also a member of different professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPMN), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), and Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD).
Muyiwa has attended a number of strategic programmes both locally and internationally, including the London School of Economics (LSE).
