Niyi Onifade is a chartered Insurer of International repute with over three decades of cognate experience in insurance and pension management, and numerous awards under his belt.
He started his insurance career with Continental Reinsurance Company in 1987, from where he later joined Great Nigeria Insurance Company.
He thereafter moved to African Alliance Insurance Company Limited where he worked in different capacities and rose to the rank of General Manager. He was later appointed the VP of Pensions Alliance Limited – a Pension Fund Administration (PFA) company.
Niyi has held several top management positions in the Insurance industry, including Deputy Managing Director, Capital Express Assurance, supervising operations in five African countries.
He was also CEO, ADIC Life Assurance Ltd, and CEO of Wapic Life Assurance before he joined Heirs Insurance Group, the fastest growing Insurance Group in Nigeria, and a member of Heirs Holdings Group.
Niyi is currently the MD/CEO of Heirs Life Assurance Limited, a digital-first life insurance company, and a subsidiary of Heirs Insurance Group.
Niyi has several publications on Insurance to his credit. He is a visiting lecturer at the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Banjul, The Gambia, and has won several awards including the Chartered Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Awards in 1990 and the Rutter Medal Award of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, in 2003.
