The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), the only statutory regulatory body for Human Resource Management practice in Nigeria, has officially announced the theme, dates, and opening of registration for its 58th International Conference and Exhibition (#CIPMICE2026), Africa’s largest gathering of Human Resource professionals and business leaders.
Scheduled to hold from Monday, 21st to Thursday, 24th September 2026 in Abuja, the Conference will be hosted under the theme: “Repositioning for Value and Impact.”
The annual International Conference and Exhibition is CIPM’s flagship event, attracting thousands of delegates from across Africa and beyond, including senior HR professionals, business executives, policymakers, government officials, academics, consultants, and industry thought leaders. The event serves as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, professional development and business networking.

The 2026 theme underscores the urgent need for organisations and HR leaders to rethink strategies, strengthen people capabilities and reposition their workforce practices to deliver sustainable value and measurable impact in an increasingly complex global environment. Participants will engage in high-level conversations on leadership, workforce transformation, digitalisation, organisational effectiveness, productivity, and sustainable development.

Speaking on the significance of the Conference, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, FCIPM, fnli, noted that the 58th CIPM ICE will provide actionable insights and practical tools to help organisations thrive amid rapid economic, technological and socio-political changes.
“The theme Repositioning for Value and Impact reflects our commitment to equipping HR professionals and business leaders with the capabilities required to drive performance, resilience, and sustainable growth. This Conference will once again set the tone for the future of people management across Africa,” he said.
The four-day event will feature keynote addresses, plenary sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and experiential learning sessions, led by renowned local and international speakers.
