CIPM - CIPD MUTUAL RECOGNITION

 

CIPM REQUIREMENTS FOR HR PRACTITIONERS’ ROUTE APPLICATION

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree/HND or its equivalent
  • Minimum of seven (7) years post-graduation experience (Not inclusive of the one (1) year mandatory NYSC service), five (5) of which must be in Human Resource/Administrative practice at any advisory/management level in a structured and recognised organisation.
  • Currently employed and occupying a position not less than Supervisor/Manager or its equivalent in the private sector or Grade Level 10 in the public sector.
  • Demonstrable cognate experience and competence in at least five (5) of the following core areas of Human Resource Management:

 

  • Human Resource Management
  • Resourcing and Talent Planning
  • Performance Management System
  • Rewards Management
  • Learning and Development
  • Change Management
  • Industrial and Employee Relations
  • Employee Engagement
  • Diversity and Inclusiveness

 

  • Record of attendance at five (5) relevant Human Resource Management courses/programmes or other related Management training programmes in the last seven (7) years to ensure that the applicants appreciate the need for continuing professional development.
  • Two Reference details MUST be provided as part of the application process (one of the references must be supplied by the current/most recent employer/line manager)
  • Detailed C.V stating employment history- Job role and function with dates
  • Last promotion letter stating current position
  • Academic credentials
  • NYSC Discharge Certificate

Application and Admission Process.

  • Complete and submit application form for the Practitioners’ Route
  • Following assessment by the Institute and the approval of Leadership, successful applicants would then be required to participate in a two-day mandatory programme titled: “Contemporary Human Resource Management Practice: Issues and Challenges” as part of the application process.
  • Following successful completion of the 2-Day Training, applicants shall be inducted as Associate Member (ACIPM) of the Institute.

CIPM REQUIREMENTS FOR EXECUTIVE ROUTE APPLICATION

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree/HND or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years post-graduation experience (Not inclusive of the one (1) year mandatory NYSC Service), six (6) years core HR/ Administrative experience, five (5) of which must be at Senior Management/Executive level AND in a cross-functional management role in a structured/recognized Organisation
  • Detailed C.V stating employment history- Job role and function with dates
  • Record of attendance at five(5) relevant Human Resource Management courses/programmes or other related Management training programmes in the last five years (at least two (2) of the five (5) trainings must be facilitated by CIPM OR must have published a number of HR Journal articles or other HR publications in a recognized academic or Professional media.
  • Last promotion letter stating current position
  • Evidence of successful completion of Strategic HR projects handled, with ability to clearly communicate these achievements in your CV
  • Two Reference details (one of the references must be supplied by current/most recent employer/ line manager)
  • Academic credentials.                                                                                                      

                           Application and Admission Process.

  • Complete and submit Executive Route Application form
  • Following assessment by the Institute and the approval of Leadership, successful applicants would then be required to participate in a one-day mandatory programme titled: “Strategic HR Master Class” as part of the application process.
  • Following successful completion of the master class, applicant shall be inducted as Full Member (MCIPM) of the Institute.
