FAQ
First Step: you must be registered as a Student Member before you can write the examination.
Apply for Student Membership by following these steps:
For examination Route:
- Visit the CIPM official website: https://cipmnigeria.org/membership/membership-routes/#examinaiton
- Navigate to the “Membership by Examination.
- Click the “Apply Now” button.
- When asked, “Have you previously applied for membership of CIPM?”, select “No.”
- Fill out the email verification form; a verification email will be sent to you.
- Verify your email and continue your application process:
- Complete the application form and upload your credentials.
- Make an online payment of ₦10,000 and submit your application.
- Applications are processed within 48 hours, and you will be notified via your registered email.
For NYSC Corps Members:
- Visit the CIPM official website: https://cipmnigeria.org/membership/membership-routes/#examinaiton
- Navigate to the “Membership by Examination Route” section.
- Click the “Apply Now” button.
- When asked, “Have you previously applied for membership of CIPM?”, select “No.”
- When prompted, “Are you currently an NYSC Corps Member?”, select “Yes.”
- Fill out the email verification form; a verification email will be sent to you.
- Verify your email and continue your application process:
- Complete the application form and upload your credentials.
- Make the online payment and submit your application.
- Applications are processed within 48 hours, and you will be notified via your registered email.

You can take your examination from anywhere in the world using a functional computer with Windows iOS 10 and above or a MacBook with an internet facility.
Students can take the online-based examination at any diet in the year. These take place in March, June, September and December.
Yes. Visually impaired candidates, will be assisted with reading the questions.
Yes. Study Packs and Exam Syllabus are available on the website and can be downloaded.

No. The fees are not transferrable, you should only pay for the diet you intend to write.
You can defer your examination mainly on health grounds with proof of doctor’s report. But you have a period of seven (7) years to complete all the stages of the examination.
You can still write it but the system will log you out once the time elapses.

You will be marked absent and your payment will be forfeited.
You will make another payment whenever you intend to write.

Results are released within a month after the Examination.

The Global Standard (ISO17024) guiding the Institute’s certification process allows you to challenge your results if you wish to do so. However, it is only applicable to “failed” subject(s)
The process is as follows:
• Send an email to exams@cipmnigeria.org stating your intention to challenge your results.
• Pay the administrative charge of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25,000) per subject to the Institute’s Bank Account (please note that this charge is per course/subject you intend to challenge).

• Send the evidence of payment to finance@cipmnigeria.org and copy exams@cipmnigeria.org
• You shall be invited to a session during which the examination questions you attempted and your
answers to those questions shall be exported from the computer and reviewed with you.
• If the outcome of the review shows there were errors in the Institute’s earlier grading decision, it shall be corrected and the administrative fee you paid earlier shall be refunded to you.
Otherwise, you shall forfeit the administrative charge.
You have seven (7) years to complete your examination before your student membership/results will be forfeited and you will be required to re-register afresh.
