The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has successfully concluded its 56th International Conference and Exhibition, the largest HR event in Africa. The event brought together thousands of professionals, renowned business leaders, director generals, and dignitaries from the public and private sectors under the theme, “Managing People and Businesses for Resilience.” Held at the Chida Event Centre, Abuja, this year’s conference not only highlighted strategic approaches to people management but also showcased the significance of resilience in today’s evolving business landscape
Among the distinguished attendees was Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, MCIPM, OON, mni, the Head of the Office of the Civil Service of the Federation, who graced the occasion with her presence, lending invaluable insights and reinforcing the importance of collaboration between public and private sector leaders in fostering sustainable HR practices. Her presence, along with other high-profile guests, emphasized the conference’s impact and reach across all sectors.
One of the highlights of the conference was the glamorous fellowship investiture ceremony, where 81 new fellows were inducted into the institute, including Mrs. Chidinma Obiejesi, the Vice President of CIPM, and Mrs. Ogochukwu Egbuonu, the National Treasurer. This solemn yet celebratory occasion underscored CIPM’s commitment to recognizing excellence and leadership within the HR field.
Speaking on the success of the conference, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, FCIPM, President, and Chairman of the Governing Council, remarked, “The 56th CIPM International Conference and Exhibition has truly lived up to its reputation as Africa’s premier HR event.
